Genesis at Home

 

When Hyundai launched their luxury brand in Canada they wanted to give buyers a unique shopping experience. One of the biggest challenges facing the new brand was a lack of brick and mortar dealerships selling these vehicles.

Enter Motocommerce, the car buying platform that facilitates the entire car buying journey online. Genesis At Home was built on top of the Motocommerce platform and it became the only place in Canada to purchase a Genesis vehicle.

Motocomerce was designed to support both the customer buying experience and the Salesperson’s needs for managing deals and incoming leads. Understanding the multiple touchpoints between buyer and seller was key to developing a seamless omnichannel experience.

Working closely with the Hyundai/Genesis team we designed the workflow to match their sales process needs which included a build and price component, online trade in, test drive booking, document uploads and pricing components.

Genesis At home would continue to evolve over the years, as we worked closely with their corporate team to deliver new features and refine existing flows. We also interviewed their dealership users to understand how the product performed for their sales cycles. Since the dealers were on the front lines using the tool everyday, developing a relationship with them helped us validate product ideas early, as well as uncover friction points that the product team would have otherwise overlooked.
